Redesdale Equestrian is located in the stunning Redesdale Valley, which is just a short 15-20 minute drive away from Coquetdale. They provide horse riding lessons and pony care sessions for adults and children of all ages. Redesdale also provide an all weather outdoor arena for keen show jumpers. Horse riding in the Northumberland National Park

The Northumberland National Park provides some excellent horse riding routes for horse riders of all abilities. Below, are just a couple of the routes on offer. For more information go to: https://www.northumberlandnationalpark.org.uk/things-to-do/get-active-outdoors/horse-riding

  • Copper Snout Horse Ride- a challenging off-road route which starts at Clennell Farm near Alwinton and heads up the Coquet Valley. This route allows for some good canter opportunities and chances to take in some stunning scenery. This is a strenuous route that covers 11 miles.
  • Elsdon Horse Ride- this is an easy to follow circular route which gives an introduction to the Otterburn Ranges and is suitable for competent riders of adequate fitness. This route is 4 hours long and covers 10.5 miles.
The British Horse Society

The British Horse Society is the Uk’s largest and most influential equestrian charity. They are passionate about riding and about helping people of all abilities to be able to enjoy horse riding, whatever their main aim.
